I wonder if Canelo is gonna get called out for mentioning a bigger PPV star in another combat sport like MMA people get called out for mentioning Floyd.
But yea a 25lb jump is nuts for any boxer to consider let alone do. I can't think of any boxer in recent times whos made such a huge jump up in weight. I gave Mosley mad props for jumping 12lbs to fight Oscar back in the day.

It wasn't a huge jump. Conor just didnt't cut 30 lbs of water weight. At 145 Conor entered the octagon at 174 lbs.

Eh, that's all misleading. He wasn't fighting a fighter two weight classes bigger. He fought a 155lb fighter and both guys were essentially the same size on fight night. Connor was at no physical disadvantage and was in fact more muscular than Nate. The fact that Diaz had no time to train or get his cardio up speaks wonders to what a hype job McGregor was.

Show me any boxer in recent times who hasn't made a "huge jump" like Conor didn't lol. Everybody is cutting weight, water or otherwise. No one is really doing what Conor did.
What he did was rare however you cut it. He's just an MMA guy + he lost so some boxing fans are acting like its nothing.
NO ONE in the UFC gets to where Conor got & is a hype job. There is a structure to UFC matchmaking that insures anyone who gets to the top earned it.
Its a bull**** boxing theory that good to great fighters can't lose fights & still be good to great fighters. I don't believe that in boxing & I really don't believe it in the more competitive world of the UFC.
