The deeply religious Pacquiao, a congressman who's running for a senate seat in his native Philippines, told a Filipino television station in mid-February that those involved in same-sex relationships are "worse than animals." The superstar southpaw, who'll fight Timothy Bradley for the third time April 9 in Las Vegas (HBO Pay-Per-View), lost his endorsement deal with Nike once those comments were broadcast and was widely criticized.

You can't hate someone because of their race or sexual preference but you damn sure don't HAVE to like or love them either.. I don't think anything is wrong with what Manny said and if the world took a hard look at the slave shops Nike has all in poor countries, paying poor people pennies to make those overly expensive shoes, they wouldn't have any money to endorse anyone!!!

The stuff he said seemed pretty basic & put together. I'd be curious to read the whole interview to see how exactly this was taken out of context (and just what else was said...might be another media storm comment in there lol). Obviously wouldn't be shocking if that was the case doe...I just don't know exactly how that'd be the case in relation to the things he said.

The media and the far left always take a little info change the content and turn it into discriminatory slam. The intent to discredit the individual. This man has helped hundreds of thousands of people and inspires a nation.

Already a massive Pacquiao fan but I would love it even more if he goes "They took my words out of context. They claim that I said gays are worse than animals, but I actually mean that they should be treated worse than animals before they burn in hell forever". There is nothing more that the yanks love more than gays. Hit them where it hurts for the ultimate level of trolling.
