Good. The fat fu ck should never have been fighting a six-rounder anyway.

What good is a six-rounder at this stage, after coming off three 12-round top level fights? It adds nothing of value to the card, does nothing for Smith's career or confidence and just makes him look like a jobbing part-timer. He shouldn't need to record a win over a journeyman just to boost his confidence at this stage. If he truly believes he belongs at good level, he needs to get in shape, come in at 168lbs and fight someone with a pulse. Fighting a six-rounder is a bad joke at this point.

Agreed, hopefully a prospect takes his place.

If I was Paul Smith I'd pack it in.

He is a good commentator. He has fought all the guys he was supposed to - done alright. Albeit came up comfortably short.

What is he fighting for now anyway? To end on a win. Or to fight Rocky Fielding?
