I should have bet money. Rojas was a 30-1 dog. Little Buster Douglas!

Wow, went into his opponent's backyard in South Africa and still pulled off the upset.

        Pretty impressive.

There is so much parity in those weight classes that upsets really don't shock me at all.

Just a few months back, Yu Kimura defeated Pedro Guevara.

The only consistent champion has been Donnie Nietes.

Damn didn't see that coming. Definitely look twice at low weight fights for upset potential to bet on cuz the odds often seem off to me, but didn't see this one coming. I kinda seen Budler as a poor mans Roman Gonzales & thought he was gonna hold a title for quite awhile longer.

If you bet on 25-1 and higher odds and do a little analysis beforehand to rule out the rod salkas of the world you can make a nice living. Tennis is a game of two opponents for example but for an upset to occur the lesser player on paper has to win a 'decision' - and this is a difficult ask - not just one set but three in GS events. In boxing it can all change with a few punches which would be the tennis equivalent of breaking serve or winning a set. Money management is key too. Same amount all the time be it $5 or $50 per fight. Over a hundred fights at 25-1 you only need to be right on 5 or 6 even allowing for taxes etc and you are ahead. Best bets are with unknown fighters like this because the info is not there for the bookies to get the odds right.

Roman Gonzalez ruled with an iron hand that division for years, then moved to 108, ruled again and then moved to 112 where he keeps on ruling, Donnie Nietes has nothing on King Chocolatito ..
