Comments Thread For: Blackwell: Eubank Jr. Has a Fake Persona He and His Dad Created
LONDON - Nick '**** ****' Blackwell has hit back at Chris Eubank for labelling him 'bland' and pouring scorn on his reign as British middleweight champion. [Click Here To Read More]
His dad was always the provocative type.. I liked it back then.. I guess father's hand off the best and worst of themselves to their kids.. Mothers too...
It would indeed be off-putting to see loads of fighters like Eubank Jr., but every fighter should be like Blackwell - fearless, with a smile on his face, and not giving a shit.
Lotsa people in the public eye create a fake persona. Blackwell probably does too, its just that hardly anyone knows him enough to know that about him. I don't see the issue.
Being the mostly humble guy doesn't pay as well as being the slightly arrogant guy. You wanna turn your personality up to 11 in boxing if you are able to. More fans knowing you = more money for you. Fake persona or not.
Since when is Eubank arrogant?
Because he says he wants to fight GGG and expose his percieved flaws?
Eubanks got attitude, hes confident and ithat isnt arrogance. Sure he sometimes looks down his nose at opponents but thats the mindset of being the best. You're here to take them down.
The whole "ill try my best and hopefully il win" isnt the mindset of a champion
Blackwell is boring and IMO a mediocre boxer, Eubank and his dad have more flare. Its fun to watch.

I'm a fan of Eubank & there is a thin line between confidence & arrogance I'd agree, but 100% Eubank crosses it. It sells tickets doe.
Everyone has a persona pretty much. Everyone in life has an image of themselves they want to present to the world, even if it's just "being themselves" and "humble", that's still a persona they wish to project on their audience. Everybody is probably fake to some degree when they are working in the public eye and rely on people spending money to make a living.
Some peoples persona is more exaggerated than others, but they're usually the guys that make a better living from it anyway.
