Faking the injury really helped the puto rican out of fighting in mexico and fighting where he has the advantage.

Not a bad fight, and Martinez-Berchelt would certainly help the draw.

We'll see if they can make the money work.

That would be a great card if Berchelt/Martinez gets added.

I agree with that situation 100%. New York on Puerto Rico day is a hard task for Berchelt, but that's the type of challenge I want to see. He's getting scammed, now turn the tables. Take this fight, it qualifies as adversity. Blast Martinez in Mexico and no one will notice, do it in NY and he will get respect.

The alacran is still unproven. This can be his coming out party. The string of bums that has fought makes Martinez the best fighter that has ever fought

Yeah. Curious to see what happens with this card, whether HBO will go for an expanded card in the arena or it gets scaled back for the theare and whether Lomachenko-Walters even stays on it.

If the card ends up just being Verdejo-TBA, Martinez-Berchelt, which I guess is possible, it would be a little disappointing, but I don't know if HBO has the budget for a bigger card (especially Lomachenko-Walters).

But so far, the non-Verdejo fights that have been mentioned as possibilities for this card (Lomachenko-Walters, Martinez-Berchelt, Braehmer-Monahan) would make up a pretty solid PPV, IMO.
