Comments Thread For: Kellerman: Many People Would Pick Crawford over Pacquiao

New York, NY- HBO analyst Max Kellerman has always been high on two division world champion Terence Crawford (28-0, 25KOs). So when he saw Crawford dispatched of Hank Lundy in 5 rounds, it wasn't any surprise to Kellerman.

I wouldn't pick Crawford over Manny and I don't think a lot of people would pick Crawford over Manny but I think Crawford has the skills to employ a similar gameplan that Floyd used to confuse Manny and blunt his offense.

I wouldn't personally, as I think Crawford's a bit too easy to find for Manny. But it's certainly a competitive fight.

Dunn, Crawford doesn't even have Bradley's head/ upper body movement let alone Mayweather's, he relies more on controlling distance to defend and that's gonna get him killed against Pacquiao. I've seen him hit too cleanly while backing up.

Fair points. he is a little taller but has shorter reach than Floyd, and he does get hit too much. I've said that in previous posts and is one of the reasons I do not think he would beat Manny.

I was just telling my bro in law this last week.

He doesn't have the head movements of Bradley, isn't great at blocking defense, his main strength is keeping the distance, in which Pac will find very easy to leap in and get punches off.

I think Crawford will be a easier fight than Bradley, because Pac will be able to land more frequently and flush on Crawford.

HBO is trying to sell Crawford as a vicious puncher. The recent string of KOs is the result of matchmaking. When he steps up in competition, and fights guys more his size, the KOs will stop and we will see more of the Crawford we saw against Prescott.

Does Max truly know anything about boxing? He seems like just another casual imo. Honestly. Just another Golovkin nut hugger, that doesn't seem to pick winners logically. Oh well...we need these guys.
