    This past Friday - Andrei Ryabinsky, promoter for Olympic gold medal winner and former WBA champion Alexander Povetkin (30-1, 22KOs), submitted the winner purse bid to secure the promotional rights for the mandatory fight against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35KOs).

            It doesnt change the the fact that wilder has leaky defense and overated power. Horrible head movement.


            Povetkin is gonna stop wilder inside of 10 rounds .

              Only thing I'm worried about is Wilder getting robbed. Other than that it's going to be a one sided beat down by Wilder.

                    Even though I'm a Fury fan I'm team Wilder for this fight. Povetkin should be an easy night for a tall, rangy, top fighter, Fury and Wlad would beat him easily. If Wilder makes easy work of Povetkin it gives him more credit and, once Fury finishes Klitschko, then the unification is on. Povetkin as champ would not be a fight I would want for Fury. Still, first big test for Deontay and it will answer a few questions I have on him. Can he perform in big fights? can he perform away from home? can he beat a top 5 opponent? lets hope the answer is yes to all of them
