Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Hopes Wladimir Klitschko Rematch is Set 'ASAP'
WBO/IBO/WBA heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18KOs) is still waiting for a date and venue to get finalized for his rematch with former division king Wladimir Klitschko.
How the heck did Tyson Fury let Klitschko have control over the venue for the rematch?
This fight should be in the UK.
These are the contracts the Klitschkos make people sign
The first contact Wladamir offered David Haye had an immediate rematch in germany, followed by if Haye won that a mandatory fight with Vitali also in germany.
I'm not convinced that Klitschko really wants the rematch. He knows he can't win. I can see him pulling out again with one of his usual "injuries" then calling it a day.
It's clear that Klitschko isn't the warrior that Fury is. Fury went to the lions backyard and took Wladimir's belts off him. Wlad should want to return the favour and go to Fury's backyard to win them back. But nope, he's too scared.
To fight Wlad, you have to give in to all sorts of clauses such as rematches whenever and wherever they choose, even if you're now champion. When Vitali was active, fighters fighting Wlad had to sign a rematch clause with Wlad and then Vitali if they won the rematch too. Crazy stuff.
It's just nobody really made an issue out of it because they either weren't gonna win or just thankful for the chance.
What's taking so long? Both guys said they want it and it's been some 3 months or so and they still haven't found a venue. Fury should tell team Klitschko to stfu and gtfo.
