Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Hopes To Head Up New Heavyweight Era

Heavyweight world Champion Tyson Fury (25-0 18 KOs) has proven adept at staying among the headlines following his decision win over former Champion Wladimir Klitschko in November. Fury told the BBC that he is considering retirement earlier this week, citing the fact it will be hard to top dethroning Klitschko in Germany if he did box again.

It's not really worth listening to him; last time he was going to retire, now he's heading up a new era.

Or, one can listen to him/read his quotes with a grain of salt and just enjoy the entertainment value while it lasts. :shrug1: I highly doubt he'll retain in the rematch. After that, it's another (albeit shorter) Wladimir era, or the latter retires.

Plus, Fury can talk – he actually delivered, when everyone else (especially that putrid cunt Haye) couldn't do shit. Simply put, Fury has earned his right to mouth off.

      (Laura Harring btw – :hearts1: ... unless that's Ali Landry. )

That is exactly what I was going to say. He was going to retire way before Klitchko as well. Fury is bipolar and does not have a mindset of someone heading up an era, nor the chin, or elite skills.

He would have to unify to do that and I don't see Wilder ever fighting him. Bum Squad won't even fight his mandatory challenger. It'll probably have to be like Bowe and Lewis. We all know that story

He will lose the rematch - Klitschko gave Fury to much respect early in the fight and in the latter half picked up the pace when he realised he was behind. WHEN picking up the pace he was the better fighter and will do this from the onset in the rematch to win by late stoppage or comfortable points winner.
