Comments Thread For: Frampton: I Feel Sorry For Rigo; Quigg Should Be Embarrassed

Carl Frampton considers Guillermo Rigondeaux the best super bantamweight in boxing and has sympathy for the former champion.

As Northern Ireland's Frampton (21-0, 14 KOs) prepares for his 122-pound championship unification fight against England’s Scott Quigg (31-0-2, 23 KOs) on Feb. 27 in Manchester, England, the IBF champion can't help but feel as though Quigg hasn't earned the WBA super bantamweight title.

Let's hope Rigo's going to be flying over here for the fight. If his English is any good he could pull a Fury/Stevenson move to gain some attention.

Based on his DIVISION, Rigo should've signed with PBC, not sure why that did not happen. Roc Nation is not in position to get Rigo big fighters either right now.

The situation with the networks, promoters Rigo brought on himself so i dont necessarily feel 'sorry' for him..stinkn the place up when he was given oppurtunities wasnt the way to improve his situation either. But..

Rigo is talented and the best SBW in the world, no other way around it. These guys have avoided him long enough. At least they concede Rigos superiority.

His only big match choice was Loma at 126 but he doesn't want to do that without getting payed something he doesn't deserve.

Thanks frampton . I admire your honesty ; rigondeaux is the best 122 pounders and he is the most avoided fighter in boxing right now .
Hope you beat quigg and then unify with rigo : boxing should be the best fighting the best , no excuses .

I'll root for you against quigg , hope you win ....,

Well he is not getting any young so I don't think he has much of a choice. It is nothing for him at 122 since he did not sign with PBC

If Frampton feels that sorry for him he should have fought him in a unification instead of waiting for Rigo to get stripped and fighting Quigg from more money. Let's not act like Frampton's not ducking him too.

Rigo's fighting Jazza ****ens in the UK on March 12th, so I imagine he'll be over here early for to watch this.
