Comments Thread For: Quigg, Frampton Acknowledge Rigondeaux as Logical Next Step

There was a time when Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton both had the opportunity to face World super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux. The pair of unbeaten UK-based titlists have instead opted to face each other, with their unification bout taking place on February 27 in front of a sold-out Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Let's hope neither guy changes their tune after February 27.

Rico beats both. Would rather see El Chacal vs The Jackal though.

War Rigo! Glad he's fighting again.

Rigo is insanely skilled, but his chin is pure glass, so he's always vulnerable to getting clipped and knocked out clean

Rigo v Frampton would be entertaining

“I don’t fear anyone,” Frampton insists. “I feel I’m the best super bantamweight in the world; in order to prove that, you have to beat Rigondeaux and I’m willing to face him.”

“You must give the fans what they want. I’m not scared of anybody,” Quigg states. “I will stick by the WBA as well. It’s about getting the job done. I wouldn’t relinquish my belt to avoid him.”

They had to admit all that ?!?

I don't get it, Rigo has never been knocker out, never really been hurt, all flash knockdowns and still some people keep saying he has a glass chin, shouldn't we wait till a fighter gets knocked out a couple of times to start saying he has a glass chin? I mean, Pac has been knocked down multiple times, even 4 times in a round by Marquez who isnt a big puncher, has been put to sleep by same fighter, and I don't hear anyone saying Pac has a glass chin, and this is just one example, there are countless others, I mean calling Khan a glass chin I understand, but this man? no, simply no.

Quigg trains out of Khan's gym in Bolton. It is obviously rubbing off on Quigg.

I meant to say Rigo has never been knocked out, not knocker out, hahaha.

Man, I wish Quigg had the same faith in himself that you have in him and got in the ring with Rigo.
