I think a bully more aptly describes Kov. I don't know what you are using to measure mental toughness but from what we've seen from Adonis he sure appears to be.

All I know is that he can box and he has some pop. That's why I'd love to see him fight Kov because he may be the one dude who might be able to keep Kov off him enough.

Now ward may be able to keep moving longer than Adonis, but I doubt he has enough pop to keep him off him.

When Adonis was still fighting reasonable opposition I gave him a decent chance to beat Kov to be honest.

Kovalev is wide open to counters and regularly over commits when he is attacking leaving himself squared up and off balance. Its begging for someone to take a step back and catch Kov while he is coming in. Easier said than done when you have a murderous puncher like Kov coming at you of course, but pascal landed some huge, clean shots in the first fight, i think Stevenson could have the same success, but with bigger power and speed.

Kovalev is definitely the better fighter, more well rounded, bigger puncher, more skilled etc, but i think this was a difficult stylistic matchup for him.

But as it stands, Kovalev has gone from strength to strength beating top contenders, while Adonis seems content to spunk his career away fighting no hopers on PBC. Any chance i gave him has gotten smaller and smaller over the last few years.

... you do know that Kovalev barely escaped with a split decision win when he fought Boone the first time, right? lol

Ppl love to bring up Adonis ko loss but Kovalev was also knocked out in the amateurs with headgear.

I would bet anyone here that if that fight happens Adonis would starch Kovalev in brutal fashion.

Adonis can actually beat Kovalev. But when a guy does this you doubt him.
