  • Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz's Trainer: Dimitrenko Will Present Few Problems

German Caicedo, trainer of WBA interim-heavyweight champion Luis Ortiz, is very familiar with their next opponent, Alexander Dimitrenko.

He crossed paths with Dimitrenko in 2009, when the fighter was training in Germany for a fight he subsequently lost against Eddie Chambers. At the time it was a big upset as Dimitrenko was being built up as the next heavyweight star.

Wish there was more to it but it was just a charity event at the Orleans ballroom in Las Vegas. Opponent tried to get too serious so I let the hands go and he crapped his pants from a temple shot through headgear. He wasn't KOd but his bowels released and he couldn't stand on his own for about a minute.

If you can't make Ortiz respect you in the ring then you're going to have a bad time.

                  Ortiz vs Dimitrenko

Eddie Chambers was/is a highly skilled boxer. I'd like to see him against Ortiz or any of the other "top" heavyweights.
