Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia-Robert Guerrero - Narrative Versus Reality

By Cliff Rold - There hasn't been much positive energy coming from fans via social media. The boxing press has been less than enthused. By some accounts, tickets are still available. Really available.

The debut of PBC on Fox isn't landing with a head of steam to say the least. The names are recognizable. Danny Garcia, the former Jr. welterweight king, is battling former

    Good article.

Looking forward to this fight and the undercard.

I don't get the hate , it's 2 top 15 fighters in one of the best and deepest division in boxing.

Say what you want about Garcia and his decisions, but he's still a quality boxer with his flaws, which really makes him more exciting. He's usually in real good, entertaining fights. Guerrero the same. A flawed guy with a fun style. Should be a good fight. Not a great fight, but a quality TV fight. Still think Garcia gets a W.

You have to be a casual fan not to like this fight! Both fighters come to fight! There will be blood. This is not a mismatch. I'm still waiting to see HBO to put on a competitive fight with known names. Canelo will fight a bum, and GGG will fight a bum. Loma will fight a bum. Other than Pac vs Bradley for the 3rd time or hopefully Ward vs Crusher what competitive fights will they host this year with big names?

There's a big stylistic argument against Guerrero. That's he's in decline is only part of the story. Both Herrera and Peterson made him look bad by staying on the outside and on the backfoot. No one really expects Guerrero to be able to do that.

Who really got a better resume? He fought Khan at the top of his career (TKO) Matysse at the hype of his career and was being called a monster (TKO) and has names such as Morales (TKO), Juda, Peterson, Pallie and that's just off the top of my head and he was underdog in most of those fights. His resume is very legit! Now Ghost which is a very good fight. Yes he's favorite to win, but ghost is no joke. He could lose. Ghost can box and loves to **** and can make it a very dirty fight. So who has he cherry picked and who x had a better resume other than Bradley at 147 or 140?
