Comments Thread For: Breazeale vs. Mansour Added To Jan. 23 PBC on Fox Bill

It appears as if the on-again, off-again clash between Dominic Breazeale and Amir Mansour finally has a home. Barring yet another postponement, the pair of heavyweights are due to collide January 23 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The bout will serve as part of the series debut of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Fox, airing on the free-to-air network in primetime. Headlining the show, unbeaten Danny Garcia takes on Robert Guerrero in a matchup of former champs, while undefeated prospect Sammy Vasquez Jr. meets resurgent Aron Martinez in a welterweight crossroads bout.

This worked out better for both fighters. Remember after the Washington fight Mansour said since he came into Al Haymon territory he knew he wasn't gonna win unless he blew him out. He insinuated Haymon isn't fair but here he is again, back on a Haymon card. On national TV too.

Against a suspect prospect, if this isn't an opportunity to shine I don't know what is.

Maybe getting paid good to fight a prospect who could be beaten on national TV

Sounds like a good deal. Plus after the last fight, he could be more motivated to finish it

Mansour better end this before it goes to the cards, he's not winning a decision over Breazeale

            Heavies make boxing cards

The Heavies are needed for a successful American boxing scene. Way too many midget half pints elf sized mini kids in boxing. Let the real sized men fight and do away with the shrimps and elves.

I agree. I just don't get the appeal of a fighter who weighs the same as my 11 year old son. The lower weights are ok but when you start putting them #1 p4p you're basically endorsing midget boxing. I'm not buying into that non-sense.

This is a darn good card especially for free tv. Should be entertaining, hopefully a lot of people tune in and are left with a good taste in their mouths.

I think that's the mentality of any fighter fighting on his opponents promoters show.

Smart adding some Heavyweight Action to the first PBC on Fox Card

Rooting for Mansour in this one, I think he can stop Breazeale
