They're not mutually exclusive. Investing your money in a failed venture can actually put someone in a position where they are unable to pay their taxes if they foolishly rely on the business paying off in order to pay upcoming bills.
His situation is probably worse now as I doubt his promoter was in a charitable mood. His promoter made his own investment and I have a strong feeling that he will expect to make well over 3 million from Roy Jones.

I was always under the impression that Roy continues to fight only because he enjoys getting KTFO by scrubs he would have beat easily in his prime and he became a Russian citizen only because he loves Borcht and is homies with *****.
