I didn't read simply because OF COURSE he is fighting on because he needs the money. No body enjoys getting embarrassed, made a mockery of and KOd like a bag of **** numerous times. I don't like hearing all this crap about how Jones loves to fight, he didn't ****ing love to fight when he was in his prime lol

Now I understand the whole Russian thing.
I feel bad for Roy now.
Gotta' pay them taxes when you get paid (or at least put the money out of your reach). Don't wait and think you'll pay later. This is what happens.Comment

Roy acknowledges the problem in his response saying iit was already taken care of and that "he" opened all these schools like he has all this cash...then the other guy says Roy was asked to participate in these projects, meaning his name was used, and says Roy had many financial failures. Verdict is in...Roy is BROKE and running from the USA debt collectors.Comment

That HBO job is only like 75k a year. They take taxes out on that so he's not even getting that amount. You talking about RJJ who was getting 4-5 million a fight when he was a HBO fighter. 75k is nothing to someone that has made bad investments. Roy's highest payday was against Ruiz he got 10 million guaranteed that fight. That's pretty much chump change to what Mayweather and other Haymon fighters get today.Comment

No financial expertise needed, just read the article:
A Russian rep for Jones stated: "The situation with Roy's debts have been settled. The strip of financial failures that haunted the athlete have ended. Roy received an offer to participate in a number of projects. These are sports, social and TV projects."
Obviously the financial problems were real. Maybe now that they're giving him other work/using his name he can stop fighting soon.
He was in several million dollars debt the HBO announcing gig wouldn't cover the interest even.Last edited by ////; 12-29-2015, 08:52 PM.Comment
