Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32KOs) is hoping 2016 will be the year that he makes history.

2015 was the low-point of his career, but he saw a lot of positives. He suffered his first knockout loss on April 18 when he faced top light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara of Poland. He returned in July to get a decision win over Marco "Dorado" Reyes, but suffered a serious injury to his left hand that required surgery and put him on the bench for the remainder of the year.

He's got a famous guys name. Lets not forget this is as much if not more a putting asses in seats business as a sport.

I like this fight. Chavez gots some power & Jack has been chin checked & failed once already. I favor Jack, but I don't hate Chavez's chances.

And man if Chavez got focused on the sport he could be huge. I think he gots that rich kid lack of motivation thing like Floyd's & Manny's kids will probably have so I think his motivation, drive & toughness will always fail him at the elite level, but man if he quit bsing & got serious he could be huge even if he even was 30% of what his dad was.
