Comments Thread For: Szpilka Not Worried About Shorter Camp for Wilder

Artur Szpilka wasn’t officially announced as Deontay Wilder’s opponent until Dec. 9, meaning there were only 38 days between when Szpilka was named for the Jan. 16 card and when he will step in the ring to challenge for the heavyweight title.

But he’s not worried about that affecting his preparation. He was already back in the gym, he said, and there had been talk beforehand that Wilder would be next.

if brian jennings is stopping you im more thatn 75% certain that wilder is..i'd bet wilder by ko and hedge it with wilder by decision....i really hope wilder shows more vast improvements this fight..bc im fine with him reigning as my hw champ bc the man actually comes to fight....
i think last fight he showed tho lomochenko type angles when he hurt his man..for him to be 6'7 it was amazing how he was hoping off to the side leaving duhap in his tracks and making more punches open for him..i was very please with that..and i think he can only get better...now i'd like to see him deal with a jab better and show better timing on his counters..i think he can do it...goodluck deontay..

PBC annoy me with this bs, announcing fights at such short notice and giving the boxers such little time to properly prepare. However all fighters should stay in shape and be ready to go when full training camp begins, none more so than nowadays with PBC around knowing any opportunity could come up at short notice at any time

Szpilka talks too much having no reasons for it.
Who is he? Nobody. Whom did he beat? No one.
What will Wilder do with him? Lay him to sleep early.

This. If you are a fringe contender, you keep in shape and train with the champ in mind, just incase!!
