Comments Thread For: Ortiz-Jennings Weights From Turning Stone

Nicholas Walters cleared a huge hurdle ahead of Saturday's showdown with Jason Sosa. Six months after being forced to vacate his featherweight titles at the scales, the unbeaten boxer from Jamaica made weight for his HBO-televised co-feature bout at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.

Walters weighed in at 129.5 lbs. in his first official fight at super featherweight. Camden, New Jersey native Sosa came in right at the divisional limit of 130 lbs.

This is a good card right here. But I'd rather see Gonzalez v. Shrabanskyy or Clottey v. Rosada than Walters v. Sosa. Can't wait for this card.

I saw a couple on Twitter saying Sosa is a live dog. Anybody agree?

This is a great card. December has been a very good month for us. I think sosa is too small for Walters. I don't know much about him but his competition appears to be well below the class of nick's.

Yup, a good card tomorrow. Jennings-Ortiz is a solid scrap.
