Comments Thread For: Froch: Golovkin's Promoter Showed Little Interest

At this point, former super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) is unlikely to return to the ring. Froch retired earlier this and last fought in May of 2014, when he knocked out George Groves before a record crowd of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

Froch was considering the idea of returning to the ring, in a catch-weight fight with middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

There were discussions to make a Froch-Golovkin fight earlier this year before the Nottingham fighter announced his retirement.

Ward outclasses Golovkin, but Froch manhandles him

Carl has spun some yarns but, considering the outright deceptions that team GG has been caught making, I'll take Carl's word. Once again, Genady uses a name to bolster his rep, trying to get credit for fights he won't take. Guy's legacy is going to be meaningless in 5 years .

If he wants to stay at 160, fine, just quit pretending you'll fight guys in other weight classes. The bluff has been called, time and time again.

Froch and Chavez Jr. were the reasons Triple G's camp said 154-168 lol... Froch especially...

Froch retired because he wanted no part of Triple G and not to mention Ward was afraid to fight outside of his comfort zone... so Froch either had DeGale only left after Chavez Jr. flopped...

                    DeGale, Triple G or retire...

Boxing is becoming such a bs game it's crazy..
