Comments Thread For: Fury: Klitschko Knew I'd Win, His Whole Team Knew

Tyson Fury was crowned the new heavyweight champion of the world as he ended Wladimir Klitschko's nine-year reign with a slick points win in Dusseldorf.

The self-styled 'Gypsy King' bullishly claimed he expected an easy fight against the WBA, WBO and IBF title holder as he attempted to become Britain's eighth world heavyweight champion at Dusseldorf's ESPRIT Arena.

The Mancunian, a 4/1 underdog, baffled Klitschko with a stylish, measured performance in which he utilised his height and youth perfectly to earn a superb win with scores of 115-112 twice and 116-111.

glad fury won but that was embarrassing the way he fought. this was for the heavyweight championship and he carried on like a clown. a win is a win but if he puts his hands behing his back against wilder. the speed and power of the right hand is knocking fury out.

Something smells here it was a thrown fight by Wlad

Vitali and Wlad set us all up in a thrown fight. The Ukraine needs American dollars desperately. Follow the bets.
Long odds against Fluff Fury to lose to Wlad. Wlad is near 40 and thinking retiring soon with a high ring wife and daughter to provide for. The Ukraine is a mess and financially shaky. Word is it through Interpol is that Wlad's representatives spread around over $10 million in various casinos even in Hong Kong and Macau that returned as high as $80 million for the Fury win. Think that isn't possible? Wlad threw the Fight and collected BIG. It's a business and Wlad fighting in Germany had few opportunities to collect big. Watch how this plays out. It was a thrown fight for millions. It was a c0mmie play by Wlad to collect large nothing wrong with that it's a business. FACT.

I thought he fought the perfect fight against someone who is so robotic. His size and strength as well as his movement is what got him the victory. Klitschko has always been way too robotic for me, but he was able to capitalize off of being able to lean on smaller fighters which made them tire out easily and those that were his size were come forward types with little head movement. Fury putting his hands behind his back was to frustrate Klitschko and bring him down even more. Fury wouldn't attempt to do that against Haye or Wilder because they are faster and could land that big punch. Klitschko said it himself, he couldn't land a punch and Fury knew this, so thats why he was able to do this against him. Klitschko is also regarded as having a weak mentality when in danger and that played along with what Fury was doing in the ring.

It's funny, but i don't think its wrong to look at Wilder or Haye and give them the edge against Fury because of their skills and the fact that Fury is not overly cautious like Klitschko. Fury is going to give them a puncher's chance and he's not going to hold and lean on then the entire fight. But Wilder and Haye don't really have much of a chance against Klitschko. There's a rematch clause for Fury and Klitschko and I still think Fury wins. Klitschko has always fought one way, regardless of the opponent and he will not make any adjustments in the rematch. So much for the Haye Therapy.

This is what the heavyweight championship has become ? Klitschko could not even throw a punch and Fury clowned his way through the fight. Klitschko walked around like a robot, Fury ran around like a clown. Any decent heavyweight from the past would beat these two. SHAMEFUL !
