Im sure thats no big deal to you, and in your mind he should abandon all that to go up 8 pounds and split 50-50 with a guy who cant sell out the first 3 rows of a greyhound bus.......

ggg is very lucky that you arent his manager or advisor
If watching fighters fighting 20:1 underdogs excites you then that tells everything about what kind of fan you are, so for you it's better for GGG to recieve a vacated title and fight the winner of Lee Saunders, who will be at least a 20:1 underdog against GGG instead of the fight the whole boxing world have been demanding against Ward? You don't have to worry about Ward now cuz he already moved up after GGG's camp killed the fight.

Don't use the money excuse because GGG actually fought Monroe, who nobody even knew and did 97k with Lemieux, he's not that big of a star either, this could've been the fight the determined the P4P best fighter in the world and probably the fighter of this decade, and you still don't want to see it while claiming you are a fan of the sport?

Ward has officially signed the fight deal with Kovalev, why didn't GGG try to do something similar with Ward? and why isn't Ward getting any credit for shooting for the bigger and better fighter of the 2? why is GGG getting credit he doesn't really deserve while Ward, who fought much better opposition and just signed a deal to fight the big bad monster at 175, doesn't get any credit and actually gets hated on?

Because Kovalev gives up NOTHING in this deal. If the fight happens next year, great, if it doesnt, thats great too. It doesnt impact Kovalev in any way, as he stays in his same divison, whereas GGG would have had to give up his 160 unification hopes and his IBF title. And based on Canelo's statement in the ring tonite (assuming it doesnt change), GGG would have been giving up the Canelo fight, all for a "possible" Ward fight, interesting only to hardcores, "sometime next year". Would not have been a wise choice for GGG.......

          Good question.

I would say it's obvious double standards.

What does the IBF title prove? We already know GGG is by far the best middleweight! And you already know Canelo won't fight him anytime soon, an actual offer was actually sent from Ward's camp to GGG's camp, the fight was pretty much guaranteed but GGG turned it down, there's absolutely no guarantee that Canelo will fight GGG anytime soon.

So you admit that Ward has taken a risk by moving up and signing that deal? The same risk GGG wasn't willing to take to fight Ward sometime next year for the lineal 168 title? And you still won't give Ward credit while giving credit to GGG for beating 20:1 underdogs?

Typical NSB logic. When it's a fighter you like u start considering the business aspects of the game, when it's not you don't care, you just wanna see the fighter you don't like lose, that's exactly what's wrong with boxing nowadays.

But for some reason boxing fans thinks it stops outside the ring....

Kovalev and Stevenson is the perfect example of racism and double standards. Kovalev has has numerous instances of racism, including but not limited to calling an opponent a "thoroughbred *******". Then he compared Stevenson to a chimp and people made excuses from "That's the way he was raised" to "He's not from here he didn't know that was offensive". I"m not from Russia and have never lived there but I have enough sense not to go around calling them drunk Ruskies. Comparing black people to monkey's is a no-no worldwide, not just in America. And even it it was only in America, he's been living here long enough to know it's wrong.

At 21 y/o Stevenson committed a horrible crime in which he was convicted, sentenced, and did his time. He's admitted what he did was wrong. He got out of prison and dedicated himself to boxing and hasn't been in trouble in 17 years. I'll give a 21 year old who has been in gangs since he was a teen more leeway than a 32 year old who is still being racist. Yet we still see people calling Stevenson a pimp, criminal and whatever else. He should be looked at as the American/Canadian dream. A man who made bad decisions as a teen and turned his life around. If people can't see the racism in the way the two are treated they're in denial.
Sorry, but no. Kovalev can go around saying the n word for the next 50 years and it wouldn't be nearly as bad as what Adonis.

Trying to call his life the American dream shows you how ***ed up some people's logic truly is.

How could you ever compare ruining the lives of several young women to being a racist from another country?

Thrash the type of guy they like so I don't wanna hear Ward blame anyone because his own ppl are the biggest to blame.
Nonsense coming from a non-Black. Has to be non-Black because only they would write this crap as if it were true.

Well since you aren't Black, your opinion means squat since you can't even speak for yourself let alone a group.

I know right? ****ing ridiculous, especially when you consider the fact that no race is a monolith.
