Comments Thread For: Marquez Claims Free Agent Status, Unsure of Return

Four division world champion Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez has expressed his desire to be his own promoter of a possible farewell fight in 2016, after having his first experience as the lead promoter of a Marquez Boxing event on Saturday night at the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City.

Marquez, who works closely with Zanfer Promotions and Top Rank, says he is not contractually tied to any promotional company.

I think Marquez knee might be ***ed like Martinez. Any fighter who is smart would want to fight Marquez cos hes vunerable.

He wont fight Pac, so Brook or Bradley should dangle their belt for Marquez.

Don't know about the WBC but think Garcia/Khan might fight for it..

Brook's not going to Mexico City to fight Marquez and I'm sure Marquez isn't going to England for Brook. Same goes for Bradley. Whats happening to the WBC 147 belt, again?

Marquez has been waiting for an easy 147 title fight or Pacquiao to cave and offer him crazy money, but neither situations going to pan out.

I'm sure his knee is fully healed with Memo's PEDs..

He's just trying to get a title match against an opponent who won't require random-blood testing..
