Comments Thread For: Chagaev Must Reach Deal With Lucas Browne By 11/30

WBA 'regular' heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev has been ordered to reach a deal with Lucas Browne by November 30th or the two sides will be directed to take part in a purse bid.

Chagaev was initially ordered to face Fres Oquendo in a rematch. That fight was scheduled for October 17th in Kiel, Germany.

The rematch was canceled when Oquendo suffered a left shoulder injury during a sparring session in training camp.

    One mans misfortune ....

About time this fight was ordered, Browne is shyt but he's been sat idle and taken for a ride for long enough. I see zero way he can get by Chagaev, the sooner Chagaev and Ortiz is ordered the better, that's the fight I wanna see.

It doesn't help being with Hatton. Browne is limited, but he should have had a 'big' fight by now.

They've guided him well IMO. I just don't see him beating a top ten guy, not now, not ever. The top twenty is wide open but even then he's pretty freakin limited and seriously on the fringes, he's like Fury in the fact he's likeable but just not very good, minus the shyt talking of course.

Browne has really exceeded all expectations to be where he is now. Dd you see how he struggled versus the French man, I felt the Rudenko fight was a draw too, it certainly wasn't no Browne victory.

He's in an interesting position really, I felt he'd get a fight versus Wilder whilst he's been sat idle but I guess Wilder's handlers just have no faith in his durability in regards to facing punchers.

Hatton kept Browne inactive with Lucas wanting to fight.

Hatton blocked people including myself (and even his own fighter Browne) on twitter when we pleaded with him to get Lucas a fight.

But if Browne-Chagaev happens soon, it's all good. Lucas will finally get a decent payday.

Australian heavyweights have never been much good and the success starved fight fans down there are so desperate for a few crumbs to fall their way they will view Chagaev vs Browne as a genuine world heavyweight title fight even though any of them with even half a brain must know as we do that it's no such thing.

Sadly I think Chagaev will be the right man to hand Browne that loss on his record, always fun to watch big Lucas but he wont get far with that relentless technique with such little conditioning to go the full distance lol.
