Comments Thread For: Guillermo Rigondeaux-Rey Vargas Negotiations Begin

The director of Promociones del Pueblo, Osvaldo Kuchle, has already begun discussions for a final WBC super bantamweight eliminator between Rey "King" Vargas (25-0, 20KOs) and former champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10KOs).

The World Boxing Council ordered the two boxers to face each other, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to Julio Ceja.

Kuchle, who promotes Vargas, has had discussions with Rigondeaux's promoter Caribe Promotions.

Lol @ posting "war" Rigo ... that's like posting War Lara..

Rigo was too afraid to move up 4 lbs to fight Loma... so now he's negotiating..dude is always negotiating fights.. the guy is 25-0 with 20 KOs but who has he beaten exactly?

Rigo is how old? Another wasted career like Andre CoWard...

LARA fights like a coward and cried but at least we know Lara will fight anyone..

Rigo is still fighting mandatory fights at his age. Smh.

rigo should be negotiating a money fight and stop wasting his talent against these green guys, it should be a fight with loma or a rematch with donaire

Great. This is good enough for an HBO undercard.
