Comments Thread For: Arum: Pacquiao-Khan Far From Being Worked Out

Wynn Resort & Casino, Las Vegas - While he admits that certain points have been agreed upon, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum made it very clear that a deal for a welterweight showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan is far from being finalized.

The fight is being negotiated between Arum and members of Khan's team. Al Haymon, who advises Khan, is not directly involved in the negotiations.

        Ahead of Themselves

Amir Khan please stop getting ahead of yourself like you did with Mayweather.
Everyone understands that your trying to negotiate but your not the A side here at all. You don't bring the most to the table. It's Manny and Mayweather that do. Your losing credibility by still continuing to talk about them two but you still don't want to get in the ring with your fellow countrymen Kell Brook which would probably be by far the easiest fight to make.

Just my opinion I think your the only fighter that should have stayed with Oscar and Golden Boy instead of staying with Al Haymon. You could have probably gotten a fight with Bradley, Rios, and eventually Pac this year.

I wonder why Kell isn't being considered as an opponent. That's a massive fight and arguably the 1# and #2 guys at welterweight.

KHAN is what I meant to type. Maybe "Kahn" is Indian for "Can".

Probably because he has a fight scheduled already which isn't taken place before January at the earliest.

Also, because they don't really need a guy like Brook at this stage. Big, strong, KO power in both hands, undefeated in his prime. Why go near that? Especially when you can fight a guy like Khan who's a good fighter and all, but it's not a damaging fight.

I can already see the Khan fans never stopping to talk about Khan's greatness if he beats this old, faded Pacquiao who's nothing like he was in his prime.

Not enough reward for the risk.

EXACTLY, Pacquiao needs to understand that he is the b-side to the #1 British boxer of all time, the GREAT, the UNDEFEATED, SIMPLY THE BEST, KELL BROOKE!
