    LAS VEGAS – As he nears his Saturday, Nov. 14 showdown against WBC Featherweight World Champion Gary Russell Jr. (26-1, 15 KOs), featherweight contender Oscar Escandón (24-2, 16 KOs) is primed and ready for the challenge. The 12-round SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® main-event will be televised live on SHOWTIME (10:45 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast), from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The co-main event of the evening will see undefeated super welterweights Frank “Notorious” Galarza (17-0-2, 11 KOs) and Jarrett “Swift” Hurd (16-0, 10 KOs) in a 10-round clash.

        This "TBA" already "caught up to" and TKO'd WBA champ Cuellar.

          Escandon stole an interim belt off some guy on a Friday Night Fight card last year. I remember the Facebook voters had it in a landslide against Escandon.

            I'm for aggressive fighters, but it has to be smart aggression, not just a bull, not all left hooks and looping rights. Russell can deal with that, dealt with it, and a stronger bull doesn't look like the answer to me. Escandon looks good in the gym? He's a pro, he better look good in the gym.
