mayweather/golovkin would NOT make "zillions of dollars" GTFOH bernstein. how many people were supposed to beat floyd and none did it.. whats so special about golovkin? oh damn, he beat lemieux and murray, floyd scared. smh i guess these people never learn. hes coming down to 154 to get schooled and pick up a charity check thats it. but golovkin hasn't earned the check yet. his biggest win is lemieux, but berto is more accomplished than him. the G man needs to earn the charity donation, if he does, floyd will fight him. better yet why not use the 155 lb canelo fight to get used to fighting at a lower weight and if little g wins there he'll be right in floyd's backyard as far as weight.

I'm not yet convinced A-side Floyd couldn't beat Golovkin.

It would be interesting to see where Vegas place the odds.

I'm also not yet convinced that this fight won't happen. Floyd made $300 mil off Pac. For Golovkin I'm sure $450-500 mil will get Floyd back in the ring lmaO

This is obviously true. Maybe Floyd would have more evasive in 2007 when he moved more but not now. We saw how much Maidana was getting to him in the first fight. Triple G would have finished Mayweather.

I think the Maidana fights convinced Mayweather that it was almost time to retire. He seemed really disappointed in his performance in the second Maidana fight. He was getting hit flush and trapped on the ropes even though he knew what to expect..

Do you think it would be bigger than Canelo or Pac? I like GGG but I don't know many casual fans that know who he is or what he brings to the table boxing wise.

Besides, at this stage of Mayweather's career, the only way he could beat GGG is by draining him. That fact alone would make the fight useless to for his legacy.

His age is not what I am worried about. For his last five fights, he's been slow on the draw. He just can't seem to pull the trigger anymore. Ah well, maybe it's age, or just that his heart is not there anymore. Either way, he should stay retired.
