  • Comments Thread For: Canelo: I Place My Trust in Training, Not Betting Odds

Saul "Canelo" Alverez (45-1-1, 32KOs) isn't concerned with being the betting favorite to win the upcoming clash with WBC middleweight champion. He's placing his full trust in his training.

The former WBC/WBA super welterweight champion, Canelo, recently spoke with Rigo Cervantez about his important commitment against Miguel Angel Cotto of Puerto Rico, on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

He puts his trust in his opponent being smaller than him.

He puts his Faith in Training as Long as he doesn't have to fight a guy his own weight class.

Try to get him to fight someone who is also a MW, he goes all *****.

I'm not trained to be a MW yet.

Dude wants to rehydrate to 180 before he is called a MW.

I hope Cotto skunks his ass.

Though there is merit to your post, it seems duplicative of almost everything else you post on this website. It is hardly progressive, and definitely not the musings of a Jedi.

You need to do a better job using the force.

If Little G wants a huge payday he will dance to Canelo's tune and fight him at 155. There is no bigger payday available to him in the entire sport.

Otherwise he will have to be content with just picking up a vacant belt and continuing to fight for much smaller purses than Canelo is getting.

End of the line for Cotto. This fight is going to make Canelo the next PPV star.

Everyone will have to go through him. Thurman, Brook, Even GGG if he wants to get paid will have to give up the A-side to Canelo.
