Rigo getting a raw deal here...

How can the number 1 fighter in the division not be able to get a mandatory or any type of fight..

WBO and Rigo's handlers have done him wrong

It's nothing about luck - just poor management.

I don't see how Caribe could have ruined things considering haymon does pay a ****load of money for his fighters to fight nothing but bums. So it has to be something on haymons side which leads me to believe he just downright doesn't want any of his top/popular fighters to lose to rigo
If Rigo signed with Haymon, than his fighters wouldn't be losing to Rigo they'd be losing to another Haymon fighter.

You're looking at this the wrong way; it would be a big ticket draw losing to a small ticket draw.

I have no idea what Rigondeaux's contract with Caribe Promotions looks like, but if he's suing the WBO then he's suing the wrong people. Deals with Roc Nation and Haymon have fallen through, and those are the deals we know were offered to Rigo. His management is ****ing up.

PBP already mentioned this, but a mandatory challenger doesn't solve the problem. There's no guarantee they would agree to fight Rigo. As was the case with Avalos who was the mandatory for WBA (I think?) he decided to fight Frampton for the IBF instead.

In the end, Rigo allowed himself to be fooled by Caribe and now Haymon doesn't even want him. He's got some huge career decisions to make in the coming months.

Realistically this may be it for Rigo's career. He's already 35, we have no idea what his promotional contract looks like but it must be ****ed if Roc Nation (desperate for talent) and Al Haymon (signing everyone he can) took a look at it and backed away. This might not be a problem that can be resolved in a couple of months.
