You are kidding yourself if you think Lara is anywhere near the skill of Lemieux or Stevens. Stevens is a boxer on the back foot, Lemieux just hailmakes hooks on opponents, Lara is a bona-fide ring mover and accurate puncher let alone beyond faster than those mentioned. Lara would just have GGG chase him around the ring while getting clicked. Just rally up points for the decision. That is what GGG and Sanchez know and wouldn't take a chance.

Team GGG should make the Lara fight next! Golovkin won't get any credit for fighting Tureano Johnson. Johnson is less of a challenge than Monroe. Golovkin won't even get much credit for beating Andy Lee for the WBO.
With Lara though, the fight has a good vs evil vibe. These two don't like each other and who doesn't like an angry GGG? Golovkin/Lemieux was too cordial going into the fight unlike Golovkin/Stevens where there was some real bad blood. GGG haters have paraded Lara as someone Golovkin's scared of.
From a technical aspect, Lara is a master evader while Golovkin's a master hunter. It's a great clash of styles from two elite performers. Lara's a big JMW who rehydrates to the same 170lbs that Golovkin does. Team GGG want to break into the San Antonio market, Lara's from Houston and fought in San Antonio a few times and be a common opponent to Alvarez. This fight makes the most sense for Golovkin's next.
@BoxingLegion @TheOtherNoahD @andreward Me go to 160 no catch weight

Stylistically a tough fight... Lara also obtains some hidden athleticism(he for no known reason chooses not to unleash).
