it'd be good to see golovkin against someone so fast and it'd shut up a few people. if the mw unification fights don't come off in the first half of 2016 then lara would be a fine alternative. i'm still not convinced that the fight is even doable though

But Lara would have to fight on HBO, he literally has zero leverage at the negotiating table. We all know thats not happening
If hbo approved lara as an opponent for golovkin. I think lara is the one fighter haymon would let fight over there, because lara isn't a draw anywhere. The risk is worth the reward for haymon and erislandy

Originally they said 154-168 back in 2012 (not 13) because noone knew who Golovkin was and he would fight anyone. You're bringing up ancient history.
As for Sanchez, he used to be pretty chill. I think early this year he realized that Golovkin needs more exposure.. and easiest way to gain exposure is to talk about others.
Remember, according to the Golovkin profile, Sanchez said to "give him 3 years and he'll make Golovkin one of the best fighters ever".. that was in 2011. Even if we chalk some of it to exaggeration, it's almost 2016 and GGG is still FAR from their goal.

This fight is absolutely ridiculous..
Lara doesn't stand a chance, neither does Canelo IMO. GGG is unusually strong for himself, very rare to find boxers with this strength in the lighter divisions
