And the reason most of them carry on (and on and on and on) about it is because they know the fight makes ZERO sense, has promotional conflicts, and is unlikely to ever be made. So they can safely scream "DUCK!!" even though its an absurd premise.......
Right. He's better than Angulo in every possible way not too mention bigger so I'm not sure what anyone expects.

Literally the only reason I would want to see this fight is because of people on NSB, aside from that I wouldn't want to see Lara take a beating against a guy he doesn't belong in the same ring with. I want to see Lara try to take care of 154, and maybe now that Canelo is gone he could be the best in his division.

When Gennady wins it'll be "oh! Gennady fought a JMW!! He a bum!!"

So how is he ducking Lara, because when he does beat him he will get no credit on here. So how does this work
Lara has long hands and he is very difficult to hit... Wait, Angulo caught him...

lol so now ggg should not fight one of the best at 168, but also at 154? I guess those heavyhitters at 160 are enough.. But hey, angulo touched Lara a few times. Did I miss the part where Lara was painting his face with leather and made him quit? No, that never happened

Gennady cuts off the ring well, so what will Lara do? Canelo could barely cut off a ring to save his life.
Golovkin may knock him out in 30 sec. But No way people can say David lemeuix is better than Lara.

It's bizzare that GGG fans rather him fight Johnson, Lee or Eubank Jr rather than Lara. Very bizzare.

I mean Lara is better than Ouma,, Gardner and Adama in every possible way, all these guys were difficult but overmatched opponents. But hey Angulo hurt Lara so that's all that matters in rejecting him as an opponent. Forget that Lara is better than guys who gave GGG problems. Don't bring that up, just bring that GGG is better than a guy who gave Lara trouble. They both beat their problematic opponents by TKO, yet only GGG gets credit for it, not Lara.

Now you're just making stuff up. Lee would be a unification so obviously that would be a priority but no one is calling for a Eubank fight (besides maybe Eubank himself) or Johnson.

Mayweather's nose was broken by Emmanuel Agustus, he was touched up in that fight, won by late stoppage but it wasn't pretty for him. TKO'ed Corrales in the very next fight under the underdog role.

Lara would beat Johnson and Eubank. Lee is a tough fight, not sure who wins. In fact, if Lara beat Lee decisively I might have to change my mind about Lara-GGG.

But none of the above changes the fact that as of now, I don't see anything about Lara that tells me he doesn't get crushed by GGG. That doesn't mean Lara is a worse boxer than other fighters I might give a better chance. That's because skill level isn't the only factor - you gotta consider size, styles, strength etc as well. Also, in boxing it is often the case that the transitive property doesn't apply. Aka if Boxer A beats B, and B beats C, you can't conclude that A will necessarily beat C.

the only reason to fight johnson is to get his IBF mando out of the way. I didnt think johnson looked all that good against the irishman........

Unifications seem very important nowadays. No matter if it's a mismatch, it's all about the titles. Forget that Brian Vera and Chavez Jr already KO'ed Andy Lee in under 8 rounds. It's a unification fight.
