Promising 23-year-old Marlon Tapales who is ranked No. 1 by the WBO will face Japan’s Shohei Omori who is rated No. 3 in a bantamweight title eliminator in Kyoto, Japan on December 16.
Tapales is a southpaw like Omori and has a record of 27-2 with 10 knockouts. He is a boxer from the stable of Rex “Wakee” Salud and is training under Brix Flores in Salud’s gym in Mandaue.
