Comments Thread For: Crawford Presents His Case For Pacquiao Showdown

By Jake Donovan - OMAHA, Neb.--As far as homecomings, Terence Crawford couldn't have delivered a better performance in his 10-round destruction of Dierry Jean at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

As far as the unbeaten super lightweight champion pleading his case for the biggest fight of his career, his team couldn't have asked for a better audition than what came of the HBO-televised headliner.

Few boxers will dare disrespect an opponent by looking past him toward the opportunity waiting down the road. All through fight week, Crawford's name was mentioned as one of a small list of boxers who will land in the opposite corner for the final fight of Manny Pacquiao's career.

Included on that list for such a fight is the winner of the November 7 welterweight clash between Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios. However, both guys have already faced Pacquiao - Bradley with a controversial win and a split decision loss, Rios with a landslide defeat. With that, the winner would have to deliver a mind-blowingly spectacular performance in order to garner consideration. [Click Here To Read More]

F#CK it, make this happen already so Pac can bring Crawford back down to dream land and show that he isn't ready.. Pac is going to be too much for Crawford to handle.. His style looked good today against that former 135lber, Pac fights at WW and his dangerous at 140.. Make it happen so we can stop the Crawford bandwagon..

TC may be a good fighter but he has one name on his resume, and that's a small Gamboa. If he gets the Pac fight that's great for him, but he should fight others in the division to prove himself. Broner, Postol, even Matthysse or Provodnikov would all be goo fights!

I like Crawford, but I don't want Pacquiao to rain on his parade. Even if by chance Terrance beats Pacquiao, Pacquiao will still expose him. I rather Terrance skip Pacquiao and beat other fighters in his division and gently make way to the upper division and build his stardom from there.

TC, is a special breed. His mentality and his skills shows he's going places. He's definitely got game. A highly skilled boxer that is hungry and wants to be great.

This will be the fight pacquaio Mayweather should have been.

TC a pure boxer who fights vs Pacquiao a pure fighter who boxes.

No running and hugging this will be a display of boxing at it's best.

              He ain't ready?

              expose him?

It's about knowing how great he is..

Pac's last fight, He has a chance to dance with Pac and tell the world what he's all about. If he fails. Then the one who wins is the better man. It's that Simple.

Boxing is about challenges. He's ready. Time to show if he can dance with the best.

If he wins, he gets the glory and super stardom. Simple really. Why take the long route?

Pacquiao winning won't do him any good. They'll make excuses after the fight if he wins. There's nothing left to prove for Pacquiao. In all fairness, if he's going to retire, he should also fight Andre Berto type level tier fighters. If Terrance fails, then his stock will plummet. If Terrance wins, people will dislike him because of Pacquiao's status.

It's for TC to show his great.

For me boxing is about giving the fans a great fight.

                  This is a great fight.

Pac doesn't need to prove anything. But I want pac's last fight to be epic.

TC has the recipe for a great show down. If you have a keen eye, you should know TC is special. It's time to gauge TC if he makes it or breaks it.

If he loses to Pac competitively he doesn't lose his fans. His name will only get bigger, if he wins he becomes a superstar.

Crawford vs Pac makes perfect sense for everyone bar Pac fan boys, it's an exciting competitive match up which could truly be the passing of the torch.

If you don't want a black guy to be at the top of the pile again for another ten years I can understand why you wouldn't want Crawford vs Pac.
