Comments Thread For: Jean: Crawford is Stressed Out, I Know I'll Beat Him

Dierry Jean is normally a mild-mannered boxer outside the ring, but has shown a different side heading into this weekend's title fight showdown versus Terence Crawford at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Haitian-Canadian arrived into his opponent's hometown hell bent on making his presence felt, daring to steal the spotlight rather than accept his assumed place in the shadows. He wasn't present for the initial press conference to announce the fight back in September, with Team Crawford having fun at his expense I his absence.

i wish arum would work with haymon they both equally to blame cause crawford is a hell of a fighter and while this is not a bad matchup there are so many better fights out there. crawford could be fighting the garcias. broners. thurmans, porters etc etc its a shame arum wont work with haymon. IMO crawford should be in the discussion for the best fighter in the world but because he cant get any marquee opponents hes not. I mean gamboa was his best win and he was coming up like 3 weight classes. Hopefully arum can talk manny into fighting him that would help big time

I don't have one doubt in my mind that Crawford washes Jean. Jean is a fringer, who once had his ass handed to him by another fringer named Lamont Peterson.

The fans on here always jump on the new, up-and-coming bandwagon..so not surprisingly these cack-riding fans think Crawford can school Pacquiao and will be lb for lb 1 soon...

Crawford's best performance was against Prescott... Prescott.. is a C level fighter...

Gamboa clearly outboxed Crawford but was just too small: didn't hit hard enough nor had the chin to handle the accumulation of punches from a bigger man..

This Jean fight is another case of Crawford fighting C-level opponents...

If Crawford lands the Pacquiao fight, and Pac dominates Crawford, fans will backtrack and act like Crawford was trash..same thing they did with Bradley, Broner etc.

Pretty much this. Dont get me wrong Crawford is good but who has he beat to say he would ko or beat Manny? Crawford got this tonight but it wont be as easy as some people think. I think Jean speed will give him a little bit of problem at the beginning of the fight than Crawford will take over the fight.
