Comments Thread For: Inoue-Parrenas Tops 12/29 Tripleheader In Tokyo

Unbeaten super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue is officially set to return to the ring. The 22-year old wunderkind is healed up and prepared to defend his title versus Philippines' Warlito Parrenas on December 29 in Tokyo, Japan.

The bout will top a televised tripleheader that will also include a junior flyweight title fight between Javier Mendoza and former two-division champ Akira Yaegashi as well as Inoue's younger brother Takuma Inoue in action.

The show was formally announced during a press conference held Tuesday afternoon in Tokyo, confirming news which first appeared on BoxingScene.com three weeks ago. [Click Here To Read More]

Haven't seen many of his fights but I've seen comments on here about his style. However, I thought him and Gonzalez were scheduled to fight at the end of this year. Did his injury prevent that from happening?

Choco don't want any part of Inoue. Inoue is a beast, I think his power will best Choco, and no way Choco takes the fight, HBO will offer Inoue small ducketts for the fight but I'm sure he'll still take it

Why in the world is Yaegashi fighting again for another title?
