Comments Thread For: Golovkin: I'm Not Leaving 160 Until I Get All The Belts

WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) has no intention of moving up in weight in the near future.

Golovkin wants to capture every major title in the middleweight division before he decides on a move to 168-pounds.

On Saturday night at New York's Madison Square Garden, Golovkin stopped David Lemieux (34-3, 31KOs) in the eight round of their three title unification bout.

Clear out 160, make your money, then move up to fight Ward, if he hasnt outgrown 168 by then

Establish a legacy at your own weight before being undersized at 168

I honestly have no interest in any fights at 160 besides Canelo.

I think most fighters would put their plans on hold for 1 fight for a big payday. It'd be a bit silly not to, right?

Translation, I won't leave 160 until Ward goes to 175.

Ward has a little more time to run to 175 like he did last time the rumor was that GGG was moving up.

But he's a boxer not a businessman. He just said it last night.

Froch or Chavez jr squeezed in at 168 & Ward at 164.

Different weight classes you feel me.

Big money fight against Cotto/Canelo, then get the WBO. Unify then move up..sounds good to me.
