Gila River Arena, Glendale, Arizona - Making his first defense of the IBF featherweight title, Lee Selby (22-1, 8KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over former three division beltholder Fernando Montiel (54-5-2, 39KOs). The scores were 119-109, 118-110 and 116-112.

This was Selby's first bout in the United States, his debut on Premier Boxing Champions, and his first assignment as an Al Haymon managed fighter.

Good try by Fernando...a true bantam wt & almost 40...Selby ****** pure & simple & only thing worse were 2 of the 3 scores...especially Robert Hoyle of Vegas @ 11rounds to 1...what's happenng in Vegas??, is Cynthia Ross giving claases on how 2 score a fight???..Shame on u Hoyle...
