  • Comments Thread For: Groves: I Have DeGale's Number, He'll Never Beat Me!

George Groves has told James DeGale he will always have his number.

Groves has admitted he thought about retiring from boxing following his third world-title failure last month and is also on the look-out for a new trainer after splitting with Paddy Fitzpatrick.

But while he admits IBF super-middleweight world champion DeGale has the "upper hand" in their long-term and local rivalry, the 27-year-old remains convinced he would beat him again.

I belive with Adam Booth or with Robert McCracken he has Degale number.

He doesn't seem likely to be going back to Booth. And will McCracken train him?

Does anyone actually know what happened between him and Booth?

I like Groves and was cheering him on against Froch twice.
Degale has a world title and Groves must be hurting.
Degale does not want to fight him as they generally do not like each other and by fighting him again means that he is keeping him relevant. I actually don't think this could sell out Wembley like Hearns keeps saying. Degale does not have a great fan base.
I do not think Groves has the edge over him. Groves has not improved enough yet to become a world champ. The first fight was really close and felt a draw was fair.
Lets see how he looks with a new coach....

Groves is still has a role to play he will recover from this set back. TRAIN with Roach then come back to Uk Fight Buglioni then challenge Chudinov for Wba title then if he beats Chudinov and Degale make it a unification fight next summer. DEgale needs GRoves more than Groves needs DEgale

Said it before - Groves needs to go right back down to British and Euro level, beat some names, get a regional title or two, and then hopefully make world title shot #4 count.

I ask you this.. would you rather Khan, Groves, Fury, Broner, Malignaggi....... Just shut up and retire?? what a boring sport we would have, what would keep you going through those long dark nights, when you had no one to ***** about.
