If he weren't ***ish, you think he'd have the career he has? Not very entertaining and has the boxing/sports knowledge of an average fan. His analogies to other sports are generally lame and he's obsessed with slick boxers who do nothing offensively in fights like Pernell W. whom he believes is undefeated...

    I miss Larry Merchant...

I mean obviously he is biased towards hbo fighters and all that and took manny side on mayweather topics stuff like that but honestly i think hes very good at what he does personally

        Strange post man.

I'll say this about Kellerman - his love for boxing is legit. He's shown that throughout his entire life, boxing was always his passion and we know that from seeing him before he got famous. So in a sense, he's a professional boxing fan, which does make him more biased at times but at least he's not some random sports annalist that knew nothing about boxing before getting the job (like the dude on Showtime for example).

For the most part I don't mind him and he does a good job. There are times of course where he'll say something cringe-worthy and he comes off like a big fanboy, though.

Umm are you really that clueless lol? Guess you don't know what group of people control positions in the media. The same reason WW II is the most covered topic in the history of film and media in the U.S. But anyway... if you think he's good, then we can agree to disagree...

He brings nothing to the table as far as an in-depth analysis. He's not Larry Merchant and he's not Manny Steward etc. He's kind of like Mike Greenberg on ESPN NY radio... another guy who isn't really entertaining and is like an average sports fan with a job...

Sure, he knows their names but his analysis and commentary is generally superficial..and he generally tries to analogize boxing to football and other sports..he's clearly not a boxing expert.

Kellerman should explain why Crawford is fighting his 3rd straight cab driver on HBO...

                Max Kellerman is truly awful.

He always discredits the boxers he doesn't like, and showers those he likes with excessive praise.

Everybody has biases, but Kellerman seems to have an agenda for certain boxers and against others.

sure i get all that u think ***s control the media and the world yada yada yada but him being ***ish has nothing to do with it the guy has extreme passion for the sport and he worked his way up. to suggest the only reason he has a job is because hes ***ish is insulting and honestly just flat ridiculous and not a topic for a boxing forum at least imo

see i always thought that was why larry merchant was not good. larry merchant had so much talent but he let the type fighters he liked and didnt like and just his prejudices in general to far it was like unless the boxers were head first brawlers he couldnt appreciate the sport. He seems to have no respect for the boxers as human beings and its sad because merchant had so much talent but older he got the more bitter and angry he got and it was hurting to many fighters he was epic for his bias on so many subjects and i think people ignored it cause they liked and disliked the same fighters as merchant so they gave him a pass. i think kellerman is way better for that very reason.

there is not doubt lederman is bias in terms of hbo but thats expected anyway
