Comments Thread For: Teixeira vs. Moulton Early Results From Los Angeles

Super bantamweight rookie Pablo Rubio was given all that he could handle in a mini four-round war with Adrian Rodriguez. The 18-year old Rubio struggled at times with the much shorter Rodriguez, but in the end was able to get past the durable clubfighter from Guadalaraja, Mexico. Scores were 38-38 even, and 39-37 and 40-36 in favor of Rubio (3-0, 2KOs) who goes the distance for the first time in his young career.

Texiera is fighting Don Mouton? Should get some good rounds here if he isn't too far gone

I was thinking the same thing, but it's the first round and Mouton kinda looks tired.

I should have known better. 5th round and typically ultra-durable Mouton has warmed up. Still losing, of course, but taking a ton of clean shots, especially to the body, without much trouble.

Damn just when the announcers are calling for Moulton camp to throw in the towel to save their fighter Teixeria gets over confident gets caught almost goes down. Showed great poise to hold on and collect himself

Teixeira comes back and closes the show. He got a lot of experience from this fight. Good win for the kid.

The Matthysse's camp really help him to improve.

And yet another ***ing pathetic Golden Boy card with nothing but setups. This crap needs to end. It has gotten old fast. Setup after setup after setup after set that goes on forever with his crap cards.
