    According to World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34KOs) will not be able to make another voluntary. His next fight will have to be against his mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21Kos).

      Glad the WBC is standing firm on that. Yes he needs that fight next and I don't think fans will accept anything else after the backlash for his last fight

        I'm a huge Wilder fan but it's time he fought some real competition. Povetkin has earned the fight. Time to get it done.

          i still find it amazing people are writing off wilder. people are over valuing povetkin like crazy i agree povetkin will be favorite but i think wilder can absolutely beat povetkin

              Wilder was able to make a couple of quick defences at home and fair enough, but it's time to face the music and fight Povetkin next. He should be able to beat him and if he does, we need to take Wilder very seriously.
