German heavyweight prospect Franz Rill (11-0) has stepped in as as a substitute for Hungarian Zsolt Bogdan, who is injured, as co-challenger for the vacant EU championship. In the other corner is already Italian champion Salvatore Erittu (27-2).

The Rill vs. Erittu clash will go ahead on December 19th in Helsinki in a supporting bout to Erkan Teperīs defense of the EBU heavyweight title against Robert Helenius.
