Comments Thread For: Roach Warns That He May Ask Pacquiao To Retire

Freddie Roach has warned that he would absolutely ask Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38KOs) to retire - if the Filipino star struggles in his next scheduled fight.

Pacquiao has been out of the ring since the May 2nd twelve round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao suffered what was initially claimed to be a serious right shoulder injury during the fight. Questions have been raised as to the seriousness of the injury with Pacquiao not taking his post-surgery rehabilitation as seriously as his team wants him to.

Why wait for spring? Do it now!!! IF both Floyd and Pac were to retire before the end of the year, 2015 will be one of the best years in boxing history!!!

You should be able to tell him that in the first two weeks of training camp...hell you should be telling him that right now actually. Even if he regains the power in that arm it'll never be as fast as it used to be. Not even close, worst thing he can do is telegraph that right hand as a southpaw.

roach stands to pocket good money from Manny fighting JMM and Floyd again. I can't see him telling him tom retire.

                    Roach's concern genuinely concerns me.
