It was his third offense. Should of stopped 8 years ago and 3 years ago when he was caught twice.

No - but what kind of MORON keeps smoking weed after being caught twice, knowing it's banned, and knowing the potential consequeces and repercussions if caught a third time?

Somebody struggling with addiction will make bad choices like this despite knowing the consequences.

ANd yes - weed is addictive. It's not nearly addictive on the level opiates are, or even alcohol - but if you smoke it every day, you will get addicted if you cease.

The Diaz dude is a tool, a piece of shiet, and deserves what he got. Nobody wants to see him fight anymore anyway - we've already got our pleasure seeig him get his ass handed to him.

Chavez Jr was fined $900,000 and suspended 9 months for weed, granted it was his second hit after the diuretic.

Agreed its highly addictive and can cause a downward spiral in one's life. Fighters are much better suited to drink alcohol on their celebration days.

I knew PhD college professors who smoked weed. They seem like successful, intelligent people if you ask me.

Yo I heard about that and jesus christ.... FIVE years?!?!?!

I mean, if it's really his third offense then I don't feel super bad for him but it is still excessive.

                    Jesus... Learn to discrimiate.

No - weed is not nearly as dagerous as alcohol in every way.

                    It is, however, still addictive.

I know - I used to abuse it ad smoke it every day. When I quit, I lost my appetite, couldn't sleep properly for over a week, and just did't feel right for about a month. I stopped or lost interest in certain activities, stopped hanging out with certain good friends.

Nobody is saying it should be banned, illegal, etc. I'm all for recreational legalization - but along with it - education... So people know it's still a drug, and can be abused, and have negative impacts on one's life.

It's not without it's drawbacks, or hinderances...

                    Again, this is if abused.

If smoked on occasion on the weekends or whatever, I'm sure there's no physical withdrawal nor mental.

It is, however, a sign of addiction, when you KNOW something is illegal, and banned - and if you're caught -you will be punished severely for your third offense, and you smoke anyway.
