Adonis Stevenson and Tommy Karpency were within the 5% tolerance above the contracted weight at their 7-day pre-fight safety check for their upcoming September 11 light heavyweight championship clash in Toronto, Canada.

Stevenson was just below the maximum allowable limit, weighing 183.6 lbs., while Karpency weighed 179 lbs. The most either fighter could weigh at the time was 184 lbs., the rounded up amount of 5% over the 175 lb. limit.

styles make fights..if u dont pressure karpency and wear him down he'll show u that he can be slick and think in the ring...beating dawson was no fluke he hit dawson early and often and all throughout the fight..he ruined that mans comeback

as far as stevenson perhaps he beat the 3 or 4th best LW in fonfara when no one new the guy could scrap..and also kov ducking the purse bid, hopkins jumpin back to hbo in the middle of negotiations bc he couldnt take all the money..pascal crying about a shot he doesnt deserve and demanding 50/50..this guy gets tough brakes and his skin tone/management make him hated...

all this imo makes karpency a worthy opponent..will not be shocked one bit if karpency wins rounds only to lose by a ko..this is not a cakewalk
i'd actually like to see karpency vs kovalev..bc kovalve is pressure but it is pressure from range and very counter-able..karpency excels with that

Karpency has every talent needed to beat ******man. He's accurate, very busy, good at countering, lots of talent overall. Just can't get careless. But yeah, I would probably end up in the ER for laughing my head off if he dropped and stopped El ******man in the early rounds.
