  • Comments Thread For: Pacquiao May Only Do "One More" Fight, Says Arum

Manny Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, says the Filipino star is ready to hang up his gloves after one more fight in 2016 and then make the switch to being a full-time politician.

Arum told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday night that the 36-year-old Pacquiao wanted to get on with his political career and run for the Senate in the Philippines.

No shock he was a part time fighter for the past three years, he showed very little interest in being a ferocious boxer and was just fighting for a check. He had one foot in the door the other one out.

Agreed..........if he wants to prove something, fight Crawford. Cause he can't beat Floyd, never could have..........but nothing wrong with coming in 2nd or tied for 2nd with Marquez...so maybe Crawford isn't a good idea? Maybe Khan would be..oh wait, he's not top rank. Hmmmmm.....

Anyway, it's time for BOTH Pac and Floyd to go so all the talent around 147 can go back to fighting to win instead of fighting not to lose.......

So much more to talk about in boxing than these two and I really, truly hope they are both done.

As for Berto, he's as legit as any of the younger fighters out there. I don't think any of the 'up and comers' would have an easy time with Berto. He's as deserving as the rest who lately have not looked good......

PAC wouldn't go near a redhot Crawford not ever a Berto at this stage. He may not even chance a Danny Garcia fight that's made to order for him. He will take another soft touch opponent like Algerieri or a Rios downgrade and call it a day.

Pacquiao hasn't said anything about retiring, Arum just spouting out of his blowhole to try to sell his next bout as his final one (where have I seen that before?).

I expect Pacquiao-Crawford next. Good fight, and it rids us of the undue HBO Crawford hype.
